When I was growing up I always thought that meat and carbs were bad foods. Things like being told rice is bad for you comes to mind. So, every time I ate “healthy,” I would always decrease the amount of meat and carbs I ate, or would stop eating meat and carbs in general. But, when I started nutrition coaching, with Dr. Cindy Kimmi Tan, I learned that not only were meat and carbs not “bad” foods, but that I needed them to (1) stay full longer and (2) get the nutrients that my body needs. Because of Dr. Cindy Kimmi Tan, now eat all the foods (meat, cabs, and even ice cream) that my body needs and have lost 30 lbs in the processes!

She is such a genuine person and really wants to help you and see you succeed. Where to even start with Dr. Cindy Kimmi! Like so many, I outgrew my jeans during the pandemic and was desperate to fit back into them. I also wanted to just develop healthy habits and routine for my daily life, so in came Dr. Cindy Kimmi to the rescue! We did a nutrition coaching program together and it was a wonderful experience - she is so incredibly attentive, comprehensive, knowledgeable, professional, kind and genuinely cares for all of her clients. She kept me accountable and talked things through with me to help identify the root problem behind my habits. Nutrition coaching with Dr. Cindy Kimmi Tan has been a life altering experience. I always had a vague idea of what was healthy food and what was bad food, but I never truly knew why. Had a great experience overall. Did 6 virtual sessions, mostly helping with muscle strengthening and endurance. I was mostly concerned with how well we would be able to assess my body over virtual meetings, but each and every time she addressed all my problems very well. She was very responsive throughout the weeks, making it easy to reach out or provide updates as needed between sessions. I wanted someone to help me see where my limits were and help push me towards my goal, but in a safe way. Dr. Cindy did a great job at keeping me on track and gave a lot of positive encouragement throughout the process.

I have had the wonderful experience of Dr. Kimmi helping me with a scapular shoulder injury, aching hip, a more developed core, and overall better mobility and functionality so I can one day run again. Dr. Cindy Dao is warm and friendly -- and most importantly, what she teaches WORKS! I came to her after hurting my back, which was keeping me from hiking. She was efficient and professional, teaching me exactly what I needed to quickly reverse the damage I'd done to my back.
She's also helped me eliminate budding plantar fasciitis as well as effectively treat neck and back pain. She's helped me with everything I've needed over the past few months since I started seeking her help.
Before Dr. Cindy, I'd always go to a chiropractor. For many years, I wasted money and had to return to them over and over. I'm so glad now that I have someone to teach me how I can protect my body from pain and heal it on my own.

In early December, I hurt my right wrist and hand. Even after medication, I was experiencing pain and limited use of my hand. The holidays were approaching and I could not get an appointment with a specialist until January. I began therapy with Dr Kimmi the first week. She asked questions and allowed me to ask questions. She explained enough hand anatomy for me to understand how the exercises were working. I began to have less pain and more mobility after the first session. I wouldn't have made it through the holidays without her. I'm sure I would not have my current mobility if I had waited til January to begin therapy. Cindy is knowledgeable and professional. Doctor Kimmi has been great with my virtual PT sessions. I had terrible sciatic nerve pain and she was able to design exercises to help alleviate the pain in the beginning and to strengthen my core after the pain eased. Her scheduling is very flexible, allowing me to work around my ever-changing calendar. After each session, Dr Kimmi posted the exercise recording and instructions that I can access online anytime, super convenient.

For the last 4+ years I have been suffering from back and neck pain. Working at my desk for long hours has been taking a toll on me, making it difficult to do everyday things driving, picking up my kids, or doing the dishes.

I finally took it upon myself to find a physical therapist to help me. I've now been working with Dr. Cindy for over a month, and have had 12 telehealth sessions. I was skeptical at first if video chats would help me solve my issues. But I can tell you first hand that it really works!

Using mobility and stabilizing exercise routines, Dr. Cindy has helped me alleviate a significant amount of my back and neck pain. It has been a life-changing experience for me. I don't even remember the last time I wasn't in constant discomfort throughout the day. I'm planning on continuing my telehealth sessions and believe I will be 100% pain-free soon.

In addition to being extremely knowledgable, Dr. Cindy has a great personality. She is really easy to work with and makes the sessions fun.

I highly recommend Dr. Cindy Kimmi Dao. I had been having pain in my hands and wrists which had become so bad that I could hardly hold a pen. I was also experiencing numbness in my hands. Kimmi met with me over FaceTime and was able to assess what was going on and even guess some symptoms I had not thought to tell her. She gave me stretches to do and instructions on how to care for the pain as well as prevent it from happening again. Now, the numbness and pain are much better and I am able to start using my hands again. I also appreciate how caring and patient Kimmi is. Very comforting when you're dealing with an injury!

I was very happy with my digital appointment! My foot has been hurting for a few weeks, and Cindy was able to see the issue with a few simple moves. I put the laptop on the floor and after a few minutes, she was able to give me a list of exercises to do. After the appointment, she sent me a digital guide (with video!) to the prescribed exercises! I'm very impressed ... who knew physical therapy could be done over Zoom?! I did a remote session with Dr. Kimmi, and I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to see so much just through the camera. She helped identify problem areas, and even showed me what she saw so I now know what to look for. She recommended some exercises for me, we practiced them together, and she even sent me detailed diagrams of the exercises so I didn't have to write anything down during my session. In general I loved that I was able to do my physical therapy sessions remotely, but specifically I loved Dr. Kimmi's approach, her knowledgeable background, and her extremely friendly and helpful demeanor.
